ABOUT MESomatic Guide
Pelvic Floor Educator & Trauma-Informed Movement Specialist

  • APPROACH
  • PHILOSOPHY

I help people return to their bodies—gently, safely, and with deep respect for the stories they carry.
Through somatic education, pelvic floor awareness, and trauma-informed movement, I guide clients in reconnecting with themselves—physically, emotionally, and energetically. My sessions integrate functional movement and breath, honoring each person’s unique pace and supporting both structural alignment and emotional ease. Together, we create space for healing, reconnection, and a deeper sense of embodied presence.

At Somatic Memories, every person is met as a whole—body, mind, and story.
This work is rooted in presence, safety, and attunement. No two sessions are alike, because no two bodies hold experience in the same way. Whether you’re rebuilding connection with your pelvic floor, moving through grief, or simply seeking a deeper sense of embodiment, the approach is always personalized and responsive to your unique rhythm. Together, we co-create practical, grounded pathways toward reconnection, strength, and inner clarity.

"The body keeps the score: if the memory of trauma is encoded in the viscera, in heartbreaking and gut-wrenching sensations, in autoimmune disorders and skeletal/muscular problems... then it stands to reason that the healing needs to involve the body."

The Origin of Somatic Memories

It began with a birth — not just of a child, but of a calling.

When Michaela became pregnant with her first son, something in her shifted. She began studying everything she could about birth and motherhood, guided by a growing sense that the body held more wisdom than we were taught to trust. A year later, she completed a year-long training to become a certified doula. That single step opened a path that would span over a decade of studying, serving, and remembering what the body never forgets.

She went on to become a lactation consultant, babywearing educator, and an Angel Doula—supporting families navigating the unspeakable grief of pregnancy and infant loss. Along the way, she wove in the art of rebozo, trained as a hypno-doula, attended Spinning Babies workshops, and studied under lineage-based mentors. Her education drew from Czech and Indian traditions, anchoring her work in both cultural reverence and embodied care.

But she didn’t stop there.

As her understanding of postpartum care evolved, so did her calling. She certified as a personal trainer and led a rehabilitation program supporting women with diastasis and pelvic floor dysfunction. Later, she graduated from the School of Pelvic Floor, becoming a certified Pelvic Floor Educator trained in the 3×3 Method—a system that bridges Western anatomy with Eastern body wisdom.

Still, something was missing.

Over time, Michaela began to notice a pattern: the women who made the deepest progress weren’t just healing their bodies. They were also in therapy. Coaching. Processing. Integrating. That realization became the turning point. What if healing didn’t require choosing between the physical and the emotional? What if the body’s pain was a story the psyche hadn’t yet been allowed to tell?

So she chose to hold space for both.

Now a student of Compassionate Inquiry, Michaela weaves trauma-conscious care into every session. Her work is not clinical, though it is deeply informed. It is not spiritual bypassing, though it honors the sacred. Somatic Memories was born from this place — a quiet reclamation of connection. A sanctuary where the body becomes a book, and healing is not forced, but remembered.

The name is no accident.
Somatic Memories is a tribute to the silent intelligence of the body and the deep knowing that lives in our alignment, our patterns of movement, our breath, and our muscular tone. It honors how the body carries what the mind cannot, and how—when gently met—it reveals the map home.

Today, Michaela brings over a decade of experience working across birth, postpartum, movement therapy, and grief. She meets each client with reverence, not repair. Her guidance is grounded, feminine, and unwavering. This is not about fixing what’s broken. It’s about rediscovering what was never lost—only forgotten.

Welcome to Somatic Memories.

OUR MISSIONRestoring Connection

Balance is not a fixed state—it’s a rhythm we return to again and again.

At Somatic Memories, we believe healing doesn’t come from doing things perfectly—it comes from learning how to listen. Life will pull us out of balance from time to time, and that’s okay. What matters is how we return. Through body-based guidance and compassionate presence, we support each person in rebuilding trust in their inner rhythm—one breath, one step, one choice at a time.
